Digital Dreaming.

May 19, 2014

A lot of people will sit in there apartment day in and day out dreaming about what it could be. Okay maybe not a LOT of people, but at least that's what I do pretty much daily. So when an opportunity came for me to show my design sense in an apartment, I jumped on the chance to turn my floorplan into my digital dream.

I constructed the plan on Google Sketchup and rendered it with the podium plug-in. For anyone out there who loves to move their around furniture, (and so much more) this is an awesome program for you. It is extremely user friendly, free to download and there are thousands of different blocks to choose from.

You'll probably notice some of the items differ throughout images. Like I said, I dream about this a lot, so even after the deadline was met, I couldn't stop messing with it.

I have actually been using sketchup to help bring my designs to life for about five years now, and I'm actually thinking about making some tutorials to help others really utilize this awesome program. So for any of you who want help bringing your spaces to life, let me know if quick and simple video tutorials would be something that you're interested in.

Thanks & Happy Monday
