cmq x Skillshare
For the last couple of weeks I've been working with a website called Skillshare to create a video series aimed at teaching interior design essentials in a way that appeals to everyone and today my first class officially launched!
In case you're not familiar with Skillshare (I actually wasn't until they reached out to me), it is a website platform that allows various career driven people to share their knowledge on within their specific field with anyone who wants to learn. They have all kinds of classes from graphic design to photography to business lessons and they range from needing absolutely no experience to degrees suggested. All of the classes are broken down into small lessons to make learning the skill really easy, and at the end of the class there is a class project aimed to apply your knowledge you just learned. And now, color me quirky officially has a class on Skillshare (yay!).
I typically focus this site to sharing interior design inspiration for everyone but I try to keep myself behind the blog, so I was definitely a little hesitant to actually step in front of a camera (something I have never really done before). But the possibly of teaching others ways to make their spaces amazing is something I am really passionate about. So after a lot of planning and some extremely awkward moments while filming, I have created a class I'm proud of.
In my Skillshare class you'll learn all about ways to incorporate color into your space. You need absolutely no experience or prior knowledge. All you need is a space and the will to make it amazing.

spring
Spring is [technically] here and I could not be more excited. Despite dating a man whose favorite pastime is snowboarding and lives for the winter, I can honestly say that winter is my least favorite season. But now that spring has sprung, we can officially say good bye to the cold and hello to pretty plant life. I’m so ready to be a plant hoarder.
