festival of lights

December 22, 2014

Good Morning my favorite people (I started this post at 9AM)

Happy Monday! I am in a surprisingly good mood today. Not quite sure why, but definitely not going to fight it.

So I've decided today that I need to get myself in check. The year is coming to the end, and with that are, of course,  resolutions. And my biggest resolution is to get myself back on the right track. Don't get me wrong, I'm not down a particularly bad track per say. I don't do drugs, I work two jobs, and I spend as much time as I can having fun with my friends, family and boyfriend. However, there are definitely some bad habits (procrastination being the number 1) that I need to work on breaking. So since the week has started off on the right foot, I'm going to start this years resolutions a little early. Wish me luck!

all wrapped up

December 16, 2014

I grew up in a Jewish household, which meant pretty much all my presents were wrapped in some blue/white/menorah theme. Fun, and very appropriately festive, however looking back on it, my uber creative mom could have stepped up her wrapping game a bit. I only have a few days left before my family and I celebrate the festival of lights together, so I don't know if I'll get the chance to get creative with my wrapping. So, in case I don't, family this is totally what I wish your presents looked like. Enjoy!

five years later

December 15, 2014

Happy Monday all my favorites!

And an especially happy Monday to my main man, Mr. Kyle Earl <3 This past weekend marked Ky and I knowing each other for officially five years (an old picture from that weekend mixed in below). It's crazy how fast five years can fly by. I get that in the whole grand scheme of things, five years is nothing. But to me, a girl in her early twenties, thinking about that night when I was 19 meeting this guy- (this incredibly cute guy with long curly hair) who despite being surrounded by gorgeous girls, paid only attention to me, the girl in a sweater and jeans- it just seems like it was yesterday.

It's just weird. Weird, but also awesome. Awesome to think how many adventures we've been on, and how many more we'll take. Awesome how in the whole grand scheme of things five years really is nothing, but in only that amount of time we've had so much fun together.

So yes, five years might not be that much, but I honestly can't wait to see what happens with him in the next five. Hopefully I'll actually be able to snowboard by then. Wish me luck!
