curating for krrb
Last week, I was approached by Krrb to curate a collection for their New York newsletter. Obviously, I jumped at the chance to choose some of my favorite pieces (from the New York region of their site), and share it with their subscribers.
If you haven't heard of Krrb yet, you should 100% check them out. I would describe the site as a more legit, version of craigslist. It is a classified way to buy, sell, trade, give and just be neighborly to people on a furniture hunt. Since the items are vintage or gently used, the pricing is typically great. They even have items that are free! Who doesn't love that?
I didn't choose any free items, as my New York picks, however some of the pieces I literally want to place a bid on myself. I wanted to choose pieces that when put in any room, would be a conversation starter. Whether it's the Warren McArthur Mustard 1950s folding chair, or the Blue Vintage Metal Desk, all of these pieces add that quirky pop that any room could utilize.

gloomy
Happy Monday all!
I don't know where you're reading this from, but here in Jersey, it is awfully gloomy today. It's rainy and cold and I'm so not prepared for this weather yet. It makes me wish my fire place worked and I had a warmer jacket to adorn. But alas, nether is true, so I'm facing this day getting warmed up by my morning coffee (which was 100% needed).
I hope you all had an awesome, fun filled weekend. Mine was extremely work filled. I missed one of my closest friend's birthday party, and my other friends baby shower. Sometimes working so much is so not worth it. But I have some awesome projects in the works, so no complaints.
Hopefully I'll be able to share soon, so get excited :)

the perfect accent chair
I have always been a huge fan of One Kings Lane. The site- which offers flash deals on amazing (sometimes even one-of-a-kind) pieces- is an interior designers gold mind when sourcing for clients. And although I have featured them in the past, talking about their art or accessories, I’ve never discussed my favorite part of their site- their accent chair page.
Filled with over twelve pages of options (that are updated weekly) One Kings Lane seems to have an accent chair for just about every room. Whether it's that newly married couple whose style is molding into a sophisticated modern space with soft vintage accents. Or the bachelorette glamour girl whose vibrant personality is reflected in her single-girl-space. One Kings Lane is the perfect first stop on your hunt for that perfect chair.
With so many options and so many styles, incorporating that perfect accent is a cinch. Check out my favorite picks for six different styles
For when vintage meets modern
For when color meets glam
For when rustic marries mid-century
For when Victorian meets southern-charm
For when the modern man cave is in need
For that neutral cool girl
And if that wasn't proof enough just how many extraordinary styles and pieces they have; all of these (& more) amazing accent chairs can be found on the onekingslane.com
