I wanted to follow up with last weeks Gossip Girl post with a peer review of the set designer herself, Christina Tonkin. You've probably seen her work while watching The Carrie Diaries, Gossip Girl, or Sex and The City and didn't even realize that all of these incredible spaces were connected by the same brilliant designer. Christina also ventures off sets and into real homes (which are also amazing) but her Gossip Girl spaces are definitely my favorite.

The dynamic color combinations, impeccable attention to detail, and exquisite taste in artwork leaves each space completely unique to the character who dwells there. The Humphrey's loft is filled with a rocker, Brooklyn hipster turned father vibe. While the Waldorf's two-story penthouse shares the same classic, vintage with a modern twist feeling fitting only of Queen B herself. For those of you who share my love for the series probably recall all of these amazing spaces, but for those of you who need a refresher, here is the GG set run down.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, I felt the need to take the styles from the streets of the city and bring them into you homes. I have always been extremely interested in fashion and feel that designing your home is very similar to picking out an outfit, just a bit more permanent. With impeccable styles traipsing around the city in their stilettos, its basically impossible to play favorites, but I at least narrowed it down a bit. Here are my favorite street styles from NYFW & their interior counterparts.

Good morning my favs & happy Monday!

I'm giving the rabbit in the waist coat a run for his money, because I was running SUPER late this morning. I spent my Sunday night back in Hoboken, relaxing (ie. recovering from the weekend's Philly festivities) and watching Carli Bybel youtube channel. She's amazing and makes putting on a Kim K flawless face look super easy. So obviously I had to try, and it's safe to say I need more practice, and definitely more time. Either way, I blame her for making me late to work this morning :)
